Prep Cook

CareCore at Heritage is a skilled nursing facility in Minster, Ohio, seeking a Cook to join our Dietary team. If you have a passion for preparing great meals and want to make a difference in the lives of seniors every day, we'd love to hear from you!

Available Shift

Part-Time Cook: Day Shift 10:30am-7pm with an every other weekend rotation.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and standardized recipes.
• Ensure meals are prepared in accordance with resident diet orders and nutritional guidelines.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and portion control.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control regulations.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating food and supplies.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen.
• Work closely with the Dietary team to ensure timely meal service.
• Complete additional duties as assigned by the Director of Dining Services.
  
  
  

What We're Looking For

• Previous cooking experience preferred, ideally in a healthcare, long-term care, restaurant, or institutional setting.
• Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and accuracy.
• Dependable with strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Friendly and respectful when interacting with residents, families, and coworkers.
