What are the responsibilities and job description for the Copywriter - Online Courses & Marketing Content position at Carebility?
COMPANY DESCRIPTION
Carebility, Inc., headquartered in Richardson, Texas, is an AI company focused on solving the number one challenge in post-acute care: staffing. Providing solutions that not only teach but also come alongside staff to help them do their best work. Our next-generation LMS (Learning Management System) delivers flexible, on-the-go training that can be completed on desktop or mobile devices.
Carebility Studio is the media and creative production arm of Carebility, Inc. In addition to developing healthcare learning content that blends research, storytelling, and AI assistance, the Studio also supports the company’s corporate marketing initiatives by producing branded visuals, promotional media, and digital assets that strengthen our market presence. We are a collaborative, creative team that values high standards, thoughtful design, and content that makes a meaningful impact.
As we continue to expand both our course offerings and our corporate marketing footprint, we are seeking a curious, disciplined copywriter who loves turning complex ideas into clear, compelling course content and social stories.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Your primary focus will be copywriting for online courses and related blog posts, as well as short-form content, including social reels. From time to time, you’ll also support marketing as a copywriter across other channels.
Course & Learning Content
- Research healthcare, leadership, and workforce-development topics using credible sources.
- Distill findings into course outlines, learning objectives, key points, and quiz questions that reflect real-world understanding.
- Use AI tools to generate and refine draft lessons, scripts, and on-screen text while ensuring accuracy, consistency, and a learner-friendly tone.
- Collaborate with the course production team to revise content based on feedback and maintain quality.
- Maintain source logs and ensure proper citation and attribution for all research.
Social Reels & Marketing Support
- Write concise, engaging scripts and captions for social reels and short-form videos that promote our courses and thought leadership.
- Adapt course content into snackable social shorts for platforms like Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok while maintaining accuracy and tone.
- Assist marketing with social media and blog content that builds an engaged online community around Carebility’s brand.
- From time to time, support broader marketing efforts with copy for emails, landing pages, or other campaigns.
Process & Collaboration
- Contribute to templates and process documentation that make our production workflows more consistent and efficient.
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines at once while maintaining high editorial standards.
- Work effectively both independently and in close collaboration during remote and in-office working sessions.
WHO YOU ARE
You’ll thrive in this role if you recognize yourself in most of these:
- Curious researcher – You enjoy digging into new topics, vetting credible sources, and turning complexity into plain language.
- Clear communicator – You write clean, structured, readable copy and can explain complex ideas simply.
- Organized thinker – Outlines, learning objectives, and logical sequencing are your comfort zone.
- Detail-oriented – You care about accuracy, grammar, and consistency—especially in healthcare and compliance-sensitive topics.
- Comfortable with AI tools – You use generative AI to speed up drafting, revising, and idea generation, but you despise AI fluff.
- Collaborative & coachable – You take feedback well, iterate quickly, and enjoy working with a cross-functional content team.
- Self-starter – You manage your own time, communicate proactively, and reliably meet deadlines.
- Social-media savvy – You understand how to adapt writing for short-form, attention-friendly updates.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & SCHEDULE
- This is a hybrid role based in the Richardson, TX area.
- While some work can be done remotely, you must be able and willing to come into the office as requested, up to 2–3 times per week for collaborative working sessions.
NICE-TO-HAVE EXPERIENCE
Not required, but definitely a plus:
- Writing or editing educational materials, training content, or online courses.
- Experience in post-acute care, long-term care, or healthcare more broadly.
- Creating social content for professional or educational audiences (especially reels/short-form video).
- Familiarity with learning design principles or adult education.
- Experience using AI-based research, writing, and text-to-speech (TTS) tools.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years of professional writing, research, or content-creation experience.
- Portfolio or writing samples that show strong research skills, clarity of thought, and adaptability of tone.
- Healthcare or course-creation experience is helpful but not mandatory if you’re an exceptional writer and a fast learner.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
- You can take a topic from research to outline to course script and develop quiz questions, using AI tools to streamline the process.
- Your copy, whether for a course module, reel script, or campaign, is accurate, well-sourced, and easy to understand.
- Reviewers trust your editorial judgment and attention to detail.
- You help make our learning experiences more engaging and our brand voice more recognizable in the healthcare space.
