CareArc is seeking a full-time Community Health Nurse LPN to join our team.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Assess and evaluate the immunization status and needs of patients and staff according to the current state, federal, and international requirements, and patient medical history. Interpret international immunization records.
- Educate clients and caregivers about the importance of immunization, following recommended immunization schedules, possible side effects of immunizations, and aftercare.
- Administer vaccinations according to the manufacturer's instructions using safe and proper techniques and a system of double checks to ensure accuracy.
- Administer and evaluate tuberculosis skin tests and refer patients as needed per protocol.
- Participate in off-site Vaccination and Worksite Wellness clinics, including regularly scheduled and seasonal clinics.
- Investigation, follow-up, and treatment of sexually transmitted diseases or other reportable conditions.
- Administers medications and treatments accurately, within the licensed scope of practice, observing and documenting patient response.
- Respond to public health emergencies and participate in disaster preparedness.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with public health reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with community partners to develop and implement a community improvement plan.
- Educate individuals and groups on health promotion, disease prevention, and healthy lifestyles.
- Participate in health fairs.
