Location: Rotating between our 5 locations: Paramus, Fairlawn, Bloomfield, Rochelle Park 1st and 5th. Schedules rotate on a quarterly basis.

Job Summary
As a Front Desk Specialist, you will work underneath the office manager and with a team to provide administrative and clerical support to management, departments, staff, and clients. In this entry-level role, you will have the benefit of working face-to-face with our clients and linking them to services to help them in their journey. Additionally, you will gain operational knowledge of a Non-profit and a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic in your work with our various departments, prescribers, mental health and substance use providers.

- 1st Shift: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
- 2nd Shift: 11:00 am - 7:00 pm
- 3rd Shift: 1:30 pm - 9:30 pm

Job Summary

What You Will Do
- Serve as greeter for walk-ins or scheduled face-to-face or telehealth appointments
- Verify, review, and update demographic and insurance information in the agency electronic health record
- General knowledge of all insurance benefits and coverage, as well as Patient Verification Systems - Evolv NX, MyAbility, Navinet, NJMMIS is a plus.
- Verify insurance benefits and eligibility.
- Upload benefits in the agency Electronic Health Record
- Collect payment at the time of service and/or collect past balances from the client, virtually or in-person.
- Answer the telephone and provide routine information. Assist clients (over the phone and in-person) by communicating in a positive, friendly and professional manner.
- Schedule appointments, conduct appointment confirmations/reminders.
- Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
- High School diploma (HSD) or General Education Degree (GED)
- 6 months to two years receptionist experience in the medical or mental health field
- Bilingual (Spanish-speaking) preferred
- Medical insurance verification experience required
- Valid Driver's license required and must be insurable by agency's automobile insurance.
