Job Summary
As a KAOS Therapist, you will provide therapeutic face-to-face and telephone crisis intervention on and off-site. You will respond to the individual needs of their clients and families, prevent inappropriate psychiatric hospitalization or re-hospitalization, and assess levels of risk and crisis in the home and community.
What You Will Do
- Provide assessments, referrals and linkages, and hotline coverage including crisis stabilization and management.
- Develop recovery plans, consultation and trainings, and crisis intervention counseling including risk assessment.
- Supervise and monitor clients, provide mobile outreach services, and evaluate clients needs and documentation.
- Screen for admission to STCF's, market to community providers for PESP programs and services, and arrange client transportation to receiving facilities.
- Conduct Bed Searches for involuntary patients, arrange for a consumer's discharge or transfer out of the screening service, and determine whether the consumer has executed an Advance Directive for Mental Health Care.
- Master's degree in a behavioral health discipline from an accredited college or university
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in the mental health field, including but not limited to internships, community-based services, case management, etc.
- Korean speaking Required
- Must have the ability to respond to clients for crisis intervention.
- Provisional/Professional Licensure to practice counseling/clinical social work (LAC, LSW, LPC, LCSW, LMFT)
- A valid driver's license and you must be insurable by the agency's automobile insurance
