We are seeking a proactive Office Assistant with extensive Medicaid billing expertise. The ideal candidate will manage billing processes independently and support daily administrative tasks in a fast-paced office environment.
Key Qualifications
- Minimum of **5 years’ experience** in Medicaid billing
- Prior certification or licensure as a **Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)** or **Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)**
- Demonstrated ability to work **autonomously** with minimal supervision
- In-depth knowledge of Kansas Medicaid billing** procedures and regulations
Primary Responsibilities
- Prepare, submit, and track Medicaid claims accurately
- Resolve billing discrepancies and follow up on unpaid or denied claims
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Kansas Medicaid policies and updates
- Support general office duties, including filing, data entry, and client communication
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to streamline billing workflows

Duties
- Greet visitors and clients at the front desk with professionalism and warmth, ensuring a positive first impression
- Manage multi-line phone systems, answer inquiries, direct calls efficiently, and maintain phone etiquette
- Perform data entry, filing, and document proofreading to support administrative operations
- Handle scheduling tasks such as calendar management and appointment setting using Microsoft Office and Google Workspace tools
- Assist with bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooks or similar accounting software to support financial recordkeeping
- Support office management activities including supply inventory, organization of files, and maintaining office equipment
- Provide customer support by addressing inquiries promptly and professionally both in person and via phone or email
Qualifications
- Proven experience in office administration or clerical roles with strong organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Workspace applications
- Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar bookkeeping software is highly desirable
- Excellent computer literacy with the ability to perform data entry, proofreading, and document formatting accurately
- Strong phone etiquette skills with experience managing multi-line phone systems and customer service interactions
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to effectively communicate with diverse clients and team members
- Previous experience as a front desk receptionist, medical receptionist, dental receptionist or personal assistant is advantageous
- Demonstrated time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a busy environment
