Duties
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development for school-aged children.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive reinforcement strategies to maintain a safe and respectful environment.
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, including sports coaching, arts and crafts, theater projects, and educational games.
- Ensure the safety of all children by adhering to health and safety guidelines, including administering first aid when necessary.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and any concerns that arise.
- Maintain accurate attendance records, activity logs, and incident reports to ensure compliance with licensing standards.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, camp settings, tutoring programs, or babysitting roles is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated classroom management skills with the ability to handle diverse behaviors effectively.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
- Certification in CPR is preferred; ongoing training in behavior management or special education is a plus.
- Experience facilitating recreational activities such as sports coaching or theater projects enhances your ability to engage children creatively.
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
