Little Learners Childcare is new to the Seymour community, and we are excited to grow our team! We are looking for caring, flexible, and family‑focused teachers who want to be part of a warm, supportive environment while providing high‑quality care to the children and families we serve.

As a newly established center, we are seeking both float/multi‑classroom teachers and a 3–4‑year‑old lead teacher who are eager to grow with us. Qualifications
Applicants should demonstrate the ability to:

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience working with young children in a daycare, preschool, or childcare setting.
• Knowledge of child development and classroom management techniques.
• At least 240 hours of experience in an early childhood setting (group center, licensed family childcare, or approved equivalent)CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Lead Teacher certification or state-required credentials (or willingness to obtain).

Preferred

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
• 2 years of experience in a lead teaching role.

Job Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and supervise daily classroom activities
• Create nurturing, developmentally appropriate learning environments
• Build strong, positive relationships with children and families
• Support play‑based, age‑appropriate curriculum (WMELS)
• Maintain a flexible, intentional, and engaged teaching approach
• Attend all required staff meetings and trainings
• Complete at least 15 hours of continuing education annually
• Ensure the best possible outcomes for each child’s growth and development

Additional Requirements

• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Ability to pass all required background checks
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and actively engage with children throughout the day
