This is a full-time on-site role for an Intake Coordinator located in New York, NY. The Intake Coordinator will handle client inquiries, conduct initial screenings, and gather necessary information to determine eligibility for programs and services. The role requires collaborating with clients to explain processes, addressing any questions, maintaining accurate records, and coordinating with case managers. The Intake Coordinator will also work closely with team members to ensure smooth transitions and seamless client interactions.
- Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to effectively interact with clients, team members, and external stakeholders
- Experience or knowledge in Case Management and familiarity with assessing client needs
- Understanding of Medical Terminology for efficient communication in discussions involving healthcare-related services
- Knowledge of Insurance processes to assist clients in navigating benefits and eligibility requirements
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in using computers and data management tools
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism
- Experience in community services or healthcare settings is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, or related field preferred
