Registered Veterinary Technician:
We are a teaching-friendly animal hospital seeking an enthusiastic and motivated veterinary technician to
join our team! We require graduation from an AVMA fully accredited two- or four-year Veterinary
Technician program. Also, it is required to be licensed in the state in which you are employed. Experience
is preferred and you must be willing to take initiative, learn quickly, and efficiently in a fast-paced
environment. Compensation is determined on the basis of experience, with ample opportunity to grow as
you learn and master your skills.

Skill applicants are expected to know or quickly master include:
- Safely restraining animals during doctor exams
- Basic animal behavior knowledge and understanding to ensure both you and the patient are as
safe and stress-free as possible.
- Proficiency in basic medical terminology and abbreviations used in the veterinary industry
- Drawing, collecting, and running blood samples through various diagnostic equipment (Snap
Test, CBC, Chemistry Analyzers)
- Proficiency in gram-staining techniques
- Analyzing fecal samples
- Placing IV Catheters
- Filling out SOAP notes during patient exams
- Following through with an appointment, start to finish, to ensure a client has an exceptional
experience
- Properly drawing up vaccines
- Properly filling medications for clients when prescribed by the attending doctor
- Performing radiographs
- Performing a TPR on a patient
- Proficiency with our medical software
- Knowledge in administration of anesthesia and monitoring
- Intubation
- Venipuncture
- Drug Administration (IV, IM, SQ, PO)
- Drug Calculations
Salary: Negotiable (based on experience with room to grow)

Schedule:
Employees are not expected to work every holiday or weekend, but are expected to work some in order to give
everyone on the team fair breaks.
- Monday to Friday (8a-6p)
- Rotating weekend availability (8a-6p)
- Holiday availability (open every holiday except Independence Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas,
New Years Day)
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
Experience:
- Veterinary Technician Experience: 1 year (Preferred)
- Licensed/Registered/Certified by the state.
- Graduation from an AVMA fully accredited two- or four-year Veterinary Technician program.

Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
