As a Carpenter, a typical day might include the following:
- Assisting with the buildout and installation of retail fixtures, display cases, counters, wall panels, and other custom carpentry elements
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and construction plans
- Working closely with the project management and design teams to bring brand vision and layout plans to life
- Measuring, cutting, and assembling materials using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking equipment
- Installing millwork, trim, shelving, and flooring elements in accordance with design specifications
- Helping maintain clean, organized, and safe work sites during all phases of the buildout
- Traveling to various retail locations as needed to complete projects on-site
- Collaborating with contractors and vendors when necessary to complete construction phases on schedule
- Other duties as assigned
This job might be for you if you demonstrate the following abilities and meet the following qualifications:
- 1-2 years of carpentry experience in retail, commercial, or high-end residential environments is preferred
- Willingness to travel to job sites and work flexible hours as needed
- Ability to read construction documents and follow technical specifications
- Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines
- Strong understanding of framing, finish carpentry, and cabinetry installation
- Familiarity with tools and equipment commonly used in retail buildouts
- Reliable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented with a strong work ethic

- Travel required both within and outside of the New England area
