Position Summary
As a Corporate Staff Accountant for Cardone Ventures, you will play a crucial role in the accounting department with month-end close activities and maintaining accurate financial records. Your responsibilities will include performing revenue recognition, managing of fixed assets, preparing and recording depreciation entries, managing prepaid expenses, and handling account reconciliations. In addition, you will support various accounting projects, NetSuite projects and collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless financial operations.

SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
- The month-end process is able to be facilitated effectively due to accuracy of the entries and expenses completed by the Accountant
- The integrity of the company’s financials is maintained due to accuracy and thoroughness of the Accountant’s work
- Dedicate significant time to ensuring all month-end and year-end close activities, including but not limited to revenue recognition, depreciation entries, and prepaid expenses, are completed accurately and efficiently. This includes preparing and reviewing journal entries and ensuring all financial data is properly recorded in NetSuite
- Focus on maintaining the integrity of the company’s financial records by reconciling all balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis. This includes identifying, analyzing, and resolving any discrepancies promptly to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Allocate time to support ongoing NetSuite integrations and other accounting-related projects. Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure these projects are executed smoothly, contributing to the optimization of the company’s financial systems and processes
- Invest time in working closely with other departments to gather, analyze, and interpret financial information that supports the company’s overall financial operations. This collaboration is essential for ensuring seamless communication and alignment between departments
- Spend time implementing and facilitating internal control procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and regulatory requirements. This includes collaborating with internal and external auditors during financial audits
- Dedicate efforts to identify areas for improvement within accounting processes and practices. Stay updated on the latest accounting tools and techniques, and actively seek opportunities to implement enhancements that increase efficiency and accuracy within the department
- Calculate, review, and finalize all revenue share, including wholesale, credit transfer, and payments, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting in collaboration with relevant teams
- Perform daily bank matching to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled in NetSuite, supporting accurate financial reporting and cash flow management
- Comprehensive understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance, and adherence to regulatory standards
- Strong ability to navigate and utilize ERP systems, with a preference for NetSuite, to manage financial transactions, prepare journal entries, and conduct month-end close activities efficiently
- Ability to apply revenue recognition principles and manage deferred revenue in alignment with accounting guidelines and company policies, ensuring accurate financial statements
- Competency in performing detailed account reconciliations, identifying discrepancies, and resolving them effectively to maintain the integrity of financial records Proficient in using Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets and other related applications for financial modeling, data analysis and report generation
- Knowledge in accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, including best practices for managing transactions, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining accurate records
- Competence in managing all aspects of the accounting cycle, from recording financial transactions to closing accounts at the end of each period A high level of precision in managing financial data, ensuring that all entries are accurate and that financial statements reflect the true financial position of the company
- Ability to support and contribute to accounting-related projects, including NetSuite integrations, by managing timelines, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and delivering results on time
- Experience with full cycle accounting
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field preferred
- Public accounting experience, Big 4 a plus
- CPA is preferred
