Job description:POSITION SUMMARYWe are actively seeking a Senior HVAC/R Service Technician to join our dynamic and growing team. This position is ideal for a seasoned technician with 7-10 years of commercial HVAC and low-temp refrigeration experience, who is ready to take the lead on complex service calls, mentor junior techs, and represent the company with professionalism and confidence.ABOUT THE COMPANYB&M Builders is a General Engineering Contractor, Construction Company with Specialty Expertise in Asphalt, Concrete, ADA, and Mechanical Services. B&M is based in Sacramento California and has GEO market reach throughout the Greater Sacramento Region. We provide No Fee site assessments that will provide an up to date profile of property conditions, ADA compliance and mechanical systems functional performance.OBJECTIVESLeverage extensive experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems with minimal supervision.Take initiative as a lead technician on complex projects, ensuring timely and effective resolution of technical issues.Provide hands-on mentorship and technical guidance to junior team members to support skill development and project success.Ensure all work consistently meets company safety protocols and complies with local, state, and federal codes and regulations.Maintain clear and professional communication with clients and internal teams, documenting all work using digital platforms.Willing to travel to various job sites and accommodate occasional overnight stays to meet operational demands.COMPETENCIESProven ability to lead projects, mentor technicians, and work well with teams.Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills under pressure.Effective communicator with both technical and non-technical audiences.Works independently, meets deadlines, and delivers high-quality results.Committed to safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.Highly organized, punctual, and maintains tools and equipment in excellent condition.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEExperience installing and repairing VRF systemsFamiliar with built-up systems and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)Knowledge of hydronic heating and cooling systemsSkilled in refrigeration work, including walk-in boxes and ice machinesComfortable using third-party work order platforms like CBRE, Service Channel, and BrincoOver 710 years of hands-on experience in commercial HVAC and low-temp refrigeration systems.If this position caught your eye, send us your resume!For best consideration, include the job title and source where you found this position in the subject line of your email to glano@cardoneventures.com.
