Interventional Cardiologist Role in California – Flexible Block Schedule

Cardiology Position Highlights:
- Schedule: Full-time equivalent (182.5 days/year) with a structured block schedule (7 days on/7 days off). 1-3 year contract.
Where flexibility meets stability. Block scheduling gives you predictable time on and true time off.
- Clinical Responsibilities:
- Outpatient cardiology clinic
- Inpatient consults and rounding
- 24/7 call during block schedule
- Diagnostic & Interpretive Duties:
- Diagnostic LHC/RHC – Coronary angiography
- Fractional Flow Reserve (FFR)
- Instantaneous wave-free ratio (iFR)
- IVUS
- Nuclear cardiology studies
- Transesophageal echocardiography (TEE)
- Supervise or interpret stress testing
- Procedures:
- Cardioversion
- Cardiac Cath – Diagnostic/PCI
- IABP
- Temporary Pacemakers
- Pacemaker Implants (preferred but not required)
- Peripheral Intervention (preferred but not required)
- Collaborative Environment: Work closely with APPs, PCPs, Hospitalists, Interventionalists
Requirements:
- Board Certification in Interventional Cardiology
- 75 PCI’s in the last 12 months
- CA medical license
- CA Fluoroscopy Supervisor and Operator Permit
