Interventional Cardiologist – Flexible Block Schedule

Position Highlights:
- Schedule: Full-time equivalent (182.5 days/year) with a structured block schedule (ex: 7 days on/7 days off). 1-3 year contract.
Where flexibility meets stability. Block scheduling gives you predictable time on and true time off.
- Clinical Responsibilities:
- Outpatient cardiology clinic in Paintsville, serving the Big Sandy Region
- Inpatient Consults in Paintsville
- Procedures and STEMI call in Prestonsburg
- Heart failure management
- Lipid and hypertension management
- Shared call during block schedule
- Diagnostic & Interpretive Duties:
- Diagnostic LHC/RHC – Coronary angiography
- Fractional Flow Reserve (FFR)
- Instantaneous wave-free ratio (iFR)
- IVUS
- Nuclear cardiology studies
- Transesophageal echocardiography (TEE)
- Supervise or interpret stress testing
- Procedures:
- Cardioversion
- Cardiac Cath – Diagnostic/PCI
- IABP
- Temporary Pacemakers
- Collaborative Environment: Work closely with APPs, PCPs, Hospitalists,
Requirements:
- Board Certification in Interventional Cardiology and Cardiovascular Disease
- LA license – License Facilitation Provided
- 50 PCI’s in the last 12 months
- 75 Diagnostic Caths in the last 12 months
