What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hope Medical Services/Certified Medical Assistant/Medical Receptionist position at Cardiology Practice?
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our cardiology team. This role will include traditional medical assistant duties as well as specialized training and involvement in our Remote Patient Monitoring and Chronic Care Management (RPM/PCM) programs. The ideal candidate is organized, patient-focused, and eager to learn in a fast-paced clinical environment. Key Responsibilities:Clinical Duties: Assist providers with patient care, including vital signs, medical history, and documenting patient information.Prepare examination rooms and ensure cleanliness and readiness for patient visits.Administer medications and injections as directed by providers.Perform basic lab tests and procedures.Assist with EKGs and other cardiology-specific diagnostic tests.Educate patients on treatment plans, procedures, and preventive care.Will receive training RPM/PCM (Remote Patient Monitoring & Chronic Care Management) Administrative Duties:Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries.Schedule appointments and follow-ups.Maintain accurate patient records in the electronic health record (EHR) system.Coordinate referrals and authorizations as needed. Duties:Monitor and track patients enrolled in remote monitoring programs.Review patient data (blood pressure, heart rate, weight, glucose readings, etc.) and flag concerns to providers.Educate patients on proper use of remote monitoring devices.Document patient interactions and care plans for chronic disease management.Assist in coordinating care plans and follow-up for patients with chronic conditions, particularly cardiovascular disease. Qualifications:Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.Previous experience in a cardiology or primary care setting is a plus.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Comfortable learning and working with RPMPCM tools and EHR systems.
