Cardiology Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant)
Location: Atlanta, GA

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Cardiology Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our growing cardiology practice in Atlanta. This position is primarily outpatient and clinic-focused, with limited daily inpatient support. The APP will work closely with cardiologists to provide high-quality cardiovascular care, manage follow-up visits, and support continuity of care for established patients. This is an excellent opportunity to join a large, expanding cardiology network with a strong emphasis on patient-centered, comprehensive care.
Key Responsibilities
Outpatient Clinic Care (Primary Focus)
- Conduct outpatient clinic visits, including routine follow-ups, chronic disease management, and evaluation of minor or ongoing cardiac concerns.
- Manage a consistent clinic schedule, averaging 15–18 patients per day, while maintaining high-quality patient interactions.
- Support continuity of care by following patients post-hospitalization and integrating them into ongoing outpatient management.
- Clinical support within the cardiology clinic.
- Collaborate with cardiologists to ensure efficient patient flow and a well-coordinated clinic experience.
Inpatient & Hospital Support (Limited Daily Component)
- Provide limited inpatient support, typically approximately one hour per day, responding to cardiology consults at Northside Hospital and Saint Joseph’s Hospital.
- Assist with hospital-based follow-up and coordination of care in collaboration with the cardiology team.
- Support smooth transitions from hospital to outpatient care.
Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with cardiologists and clinical staff to deliver coordinated, high-quality cardiovascular care.
- Communicate effectively with practice leadership regarding scheduling, clinic needs, and patient management.
Qualifications
- Active Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in the state of Georgia.
- National certification as an NP or PA.
- Prior cardiology experience preferred.
- Strong clinical skills in an outpatient setting; comfort supporting limited inpatient consults.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative, physician-led team.
- Familiarity hospital workflows.
