Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our cardiology practice. In this role, you will provide essential support to our healthcare team by assisting with patient care, administrative tasks, and clinical procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cardiology office operations and be committed to delivering excellent patient service in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a welcoming and professional experience.
- Obtain patient histories, measure vital signs, and document medical information accurately.
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist physicians during clinical procedures.
- Assist with diagnostic tests such as EKGs or other cardiology-specific assessments.
- Manage patient records, update charts, and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Schedule appointments, follow-up visits, and coordinate referrals as needed.
- Educate patients on pre-visit preparations and post-visit care instructions related to cardiology treatments.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of clinical areas and medical equipment.
- Support administrative duties including answering phones, handling correspondence, and managing paperwork.
Qualifications
