Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one peer support and mentoring to clients, offering guidance and encouragement in their recovery journey
- Co-facilitate recovery-focused groups alongside clinical staff, helping individuals develop coping skills and connect with community resources
- Share your lived experience in a way that models healthy recovery behaviors, serving as a positive influence and role model
- Complete accurate and timely documentation of all services provided, ensuring seamless communication and tracking of client progress
- Assist clients with recovery planning, coping skills, and connection to community resources, helping them navigate their recovery journey
- Collaborate with counselors, case managers, drivers, and other staff as needed, contributing to a cohesive and supportive team environment
Requirements:
- Active CPRS (Certified Peer Recovery Supporter) required in the state of Ohio
- Personal lived experience with substance use recovery, with sustained recovery time as defined by Ohio certification standards
- Strong documentation and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
