What are the responsibilities and job description for the Diesel Mechanic position at Cardinal Group, Inc.?
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day needs of all our equipment. This is a role that requires strong knowledge in not only truck but trailer repairs as well.
Duties:
- work diligently with the Transportation Manager to accomplish any and all tasks.
- Trailer repairs, hydraulic systems, lights, fabrication etc.
- Monitoring shop supplies and providing list of needed materials.
- Drive loads as backup CDL A driver and transport trucks to and from repair shops.
Dilligently track all repair invoices, work orders and supply requests to be uploaded into fleet management software.
Provide roadside help, company maintenance vehicle provided.
- Maintain a clean and organized shop environment
Experience:
- Strong knowledge of automotive repair processes and procedures
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong mechanical background and problem-solving mentality
*Class A CDL license or willingness to obtain class A CDL through the company is a must*
