Mechanical Maintenance Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our heavy manufacturing facility. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of mechanical systems and equipment to ensure optimal production performance. Your expertise will help minimize downtime, improve efficiency, and uphold safety standards across the plant. Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery, including hydraulics, and mechanical components.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues using schematics, technical manuals, and analysis skills to identify root causes.
• Conduct welding and fabrication tasks using various welding techniques to repair or modify equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Support manufacturing processes by ensuring all mechanical systems operate efficiently,
• Follow safety protocols related to industrial mechanic procedures while adhering to industry standards.
• Collaborate with team members to improve maintenance procedures, reduce downtime, and enhance overall plant reliability.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in industrial maintenance within a manufacturing facility environment.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with expertise in hydraulics, welding , alignment, couplings, belt and chain drives, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and specifications effectively.
• Excellent analysis skills combined with a proactive approach to maintenance challenges.
• Field service experience is preferred; military background is a plus due to discipline and technical training.
• Strong customer service mindset with the ability to communicate clearly with team members and external vendors. Pay: $30.00 - $37.00 per hour

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• mechanical maintenance: 3 years (Required)

License/Certification:

• Journeyman License (Required)
