About Us
Dr. Sujata Balulad’s Cardiology and Electrophysiology practice is seeking an experienced Practice Manager to oversee the daily operations of our growing cardiovascular practice. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring operational excellence, driving financial performance, supporting practice growth, and maintaining an exceptional patient experience across multiple locations.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on healthcare leader with strong experience in medical office management, revenue cycle operations, insurance authorizations, staff leadership, and physician practice administration.
Position Summary
Reporting directly to the Practice Owner, the Practice Manager will lead administrative operations, supervise office staff, oversee billing and accounts receivable processes, manage insurance authorizations and eligibility workflows, and support marketing and referral development initiatives.
This position requires a proactive leader who can identify opportunities for improvement, implement operational efficiencies, and foster a culture of accountability and patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
Practice Operations & Leadership
- Manage daily operations of a multi-location Cardiology and Electrophysiology practice.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and supervise administrative and front-office staff.
- Develop staff schedules and ensure adequate coverage across all locations.
- Establish performance expectations and promote a culture of accountability and teamwork.
- Partner directly with the Practice Owner on operational initiatives and strategic growth opportunities.
Revenue Cycle Management
- Oversee medical billing operations to ensure timely and accurate claim submission.
- Monitor key revenue cycle metrics, including collections, denials, and reimbursement trends.
- Work closely with billing staff or vendors to resolve claim issues and improve reimbursement performance.
- Review financial and operational reports and implement corrective actions as needed.
Accounts Receivable Oversight
- Manage accounts receivable performance and aging reports.
- Develop and execute strategies to reduce outstanding balances and improve cash flow.
- Ensure timely follow-up on denied, underpaid, and unpaid claims.
- Track collection performance and establish accountability measures.
Authorizations & Eligibility
- Oversee insurance verification and patient eligibility processes.
- Ensure timely completion of prior authorizations and referral requirements.
- Monitor authorization workflows to minimize delays in patient care.
- Maintain compliance with payer guidelines and requirements.
Marketing & Practice Growth
- Support physician referral development and relationship management.
- Coordinate community outreach and marketing initiatives to increase patient volume.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen referral networks and expand market presence.
- Collaborate with leadership on growth strategies and patient acquisition efforts.
Qualifications
Required
- Minimum 3 years of healthcare practice management experience.
- Experience managing medical office operations and staff.
- Strong understanding of medical billing, insurance verification, prior authorizations, and accounts receivable management.
- Proven leadership and team development experience.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems and Microsoft Office.
Preferred
- Cardiology, Electrophysiology, or specialty practice experience.
- Multi-location practice management experience.
- Knowledge of Medicare and commercial payer reimbursement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field.
