SHIPPING TEAM LEAD

Overview
Join our dynamic logistics team as a Shipping Team Lead, where you'll drive the efficient movement of goods and oversee daily shipping operations within a fast-paced warehouse environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a dedicated team, optimize warehouse distribution processes, and ensure timely delivery of products. Your leadership will be instrumental in maintaining high standards of inventory management, safety compliance, and process improvement, all while fostering a collaborative and energetic work atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily shipping and receiving activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Lead and motivate a team of warehouse associates, providing guidance on inventory control, materials handling, and safety protocols.
• Oversee warehouse management system (WMS) operations to track inventory levels, process shipments, and maintain precise records using platforms like AS400.
• Manage inventory management processes, including cycle counts, stock replenishment, and discrepancy resolution to uphold optimal stock levels.
• Utilize mechanical knowledge and forklift certification skills to assist with heavy lifting, materials handling, and equipment operation safely.
• Implement process improvements to streamline shipping workflows, reduce errors, and enhance overall warehouse efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and safety regulations during all warehouse activities.
• Coordinate with third-party logistics providers (3PL) for outbound shipments and optimize logistics strategies for cost-effective distribution.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in warehouse management or supervision within a fast-paced shipping environment.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management systems, warehouse management systems (WMS), and AS400 platform.
• Hands-on experience with forklift operation and materials handling equipment.
• Excellent team management skills with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop staff effectively.
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues promptly.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and best practices in warehouse safety procedures.
• Experience working within e-commerce fulfillment centers or 3PL logistics is highly desirable.

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
