CNC Wire Saw Operator (Apprentice)

Job Summary
Carbon Felt, Inc., a growing company in the world of high temperature graphite furnace insulation and carbon/carbon composites, is looking for a CNC Wire Saw Operator (Apprentice) at our company in Claremont, NH.

The ideal candidate will be very detail-oriented, have passion to learn, and have great work ethic. This role is essential for ensuring the precision and quality of our products, as well as maintaining safety standards in the workplace.

Duties

• Receive training to operate CNC wire saws to produce high-quality components from our carbon composites insulation materials.
• Learn to perform setup wire saws, ensuring proper alignment and functionality before machine runs.
• Receive training to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine specifications for cutting processes.
• Deliver the materials safely from warehouse to wire saw station by using forklift, powerlift, pallet jack etc.
• Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to ensure adherence to specifications.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and maintain efficient workflow.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
• Learn to perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Graduated from technical school/college or equivalent background
• Minimum 2 years of CNC operating experience
• Proven experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on machining
• Education background in CNC machines, including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes etc.
• Ability to read blueprints accurately and follow detailed instructions for production processes.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
