As our Fractional Finance Director, you will serve as a trusted thought partner to the Executive Director and leadership team, ensuring the organization's financial systems, reporting, and planning are as strong as the ambitious programs they support. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines strategic financial oversight with practical execution in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.

This is a part-time position with a flexible schedule. We welcome candidates seeking a long-term fractional leadership role.

  • Overseeing the processing and execution of foundation, government, corporate and philanthropic grants and contracts.
  • Supporting initiatives and proposals with preparation of budgets, rate-setting, and related activities.
  • Managing cash and executing on investment strategy as directed by the Executive Director.
  • Establishing and executing on accounting and financial control systems for CC Capital (as applicable).
  • Strengthening financial systems, operational processes, internal and risk controls to support organizational growth.

  • Experience in managing annual financial audits.
  • Strong budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning expertise.
  • Experience managing outsourced accounting relationships.
  • A collaborative, roll-up-your-sleeves approach.

Bonus Qualifications
  • Interest in climate, sustainability, or mission-driven organizations.
  • CPA or equivalent financial leadership credentials.
  • Experience with nonprofit organizations with complex operations and finances.
  • Deep and relevant experience in managing financial aspects of foundation or government grants; and or sponsored research contracts.

Why This Role

This is an opportunity to use decades of financial expertise where it can have outsized impact.

  • Strategic leadership without the demands of a full-time executive role.
  • Close partnership with a high-performing leadership team.
