Finance and Accounting Specialist

Must live within 60 minutes of Plymouth, WI.

We're looking for a detail-oriented and driven Finance and Accounting Specialist to support our day-to-day financial operations and help keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes. In this role, you'll work closely with internal teams, customers, and vendor partners to manage transactions, reconcile accounts, support compliance efforts, and ensure accuracy across all financial data. WHAT YOU GET TO DO

  • First point of contact for inbound and outbound customer calls; facilitate resolution as needed (process a payment, provide an invoice or statement copy, or forward to the appropriate point of contact)
  • Apply daily cash receipts, including checks, ACH, and credit card payments, ensuring accurate account posting; reconcile customer accounts and investigate discrepancies, short payments, and unapplied cash
  • Research and resolve account issues for accounts receivable and payable; co-manage Vendor Payment portal for all invoices billed to the company
  • Complete outbound collection calls on past due customer accounts as assigned and maintain all account and customer detail information accurately in our database
  • Responsible for daily financial transactions to include payables, deposits, and invoicing; administer and maintain company credit card program, including monitoring transactions, reviewing activity for accuracy and policy compliance, and resolving discrepancies
  • Prepare and file monthly sales tax returns for ecommerce transactions and support out-of-state compliance activities, including registrations, filings, and maintaining compliance documentation
  • Assist with the monthly financial close process, including preparation and tracking of prepaid expenses and accruals, ensuring accurate financial reporting and proper period recognition
  • Find A Better Way by championing continuous improvement and quality control efforts to identify opportunities to innovate and improve efficiency, accuracy, and standardization

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is preferred
  • Two years of related work experience required
  • Previous experience using an ERP system is preferred
  • Valid driver's license, insurance, and satisfactory driving record required
  • Must be willing to be in the office a minimum of three days a week
  • Must live within 60 minutes of Plymouth, WI
  • This position requires reliable transportation and the ability to travel up to 15% of the time
  • Must be willing to travel out of state on team trips a minimum of four times per calendar year
