What are the responsibilities and job description for the Showroom Manager-Atlanta position at Caracole Home?
Company ( Atlanta Showroom)
Caracole is a High Point, North Carolina-based furniture company recognized for refined contemporary design, quiet luxury, and exceptional craftsmanship across upholstery and case goods. Since 2009, Caracole has created thoughtfully designed collections that inspire beautiful interiors through sophisticated silhouettes, rich materials, and meticulous attention to detail.
Caracole is represented by premier furniture retailers, interior designers, and design professionals throughout the United States and in more than 75 countries worldwide.
Position Summary (Position on-site & based in the Atlanta Market)
The Showroom Manager's primary function is to grow Caracole's presence and revenue within the Atlanta design trade by building lasting relationships with interior designers, architects, and design firms who visit or specify through the ADAC showroom. This is a business-development-first role: success is measured by new and deepened trade relationships, event-driven visibility, and sales growth — with day-to-day showroom operations as a supporting function rather than the core of the job.
Duties and Responsibilities
Business Development & Trade Relationships (Primary Focus)
• Proactively identify, prospect, and cultivate relationships with interior designers, architects, and design firms across the Atlanta market.
• Represent Caracole at ADAC-hosted events (e.g., Design ADAC programming, showroom presentations), Atlanta Market market weeks, and local trade association functions (e.g., ASID, IIDA) — to build brand visibility and generate designer relationships.
• Plan, organize, and host designer-facing events, previews, and educational sessions (e.g., CEU or lunch-and-learn presentations) to drive traffic and deepen account relationships.
• Build and maintain a target account list and outreach cadence for new and existing trade relationships; track the pipeline the way an account manager would.
• Develop and execute strategies to grow trade account volume, designer retention, and wallet share over time.
• Promote sales by presenting products and providing detailed product knowledge and expertise across new and existing lines.
• Suggest and help implement ways to increase sales and improve the business; bring market intelligence back to sales and marketing leadership.
Showroom Operations (Supporting Duties)
• Manage day-to-day showroom readiness, opening/closing tasks, and overall appearance and visual standards.
• Maintain product assortment by managing the flow of discontinued, existing, and new products.
• Provide sales support: assist with product selections, write quotes and trade sales orders, and manage sample/COM logistics for designer presentations.
• Coordinate showroom appointments and designer visits; send follow-up communications between markets.
• Answer incoming calls and respond to showroom-related emails and other communications; provide troubleshooting as needed.
• Serve as a liaison between the showroom, Caracole's customer service department, and the corporate office in High Point, NC.
• Ensure company policies, procedures, and controls are followed.
Qualifications
• Prior experience in a to-the-trade showroom, interior design, or design-industry sales/business-development role strongly preferred.
• Existing relationships within the Atlanta design community (designers, architects, firms) a strong plus.
• Comfortable prospecting, networking, and building relationships proactively — not solely responding to walk-in or inbound traffic.
• Willingness to travel locally to industry events and, periodically, to market weeks.
• Strong product knowledge, presentation, and quoting/order-writing skills.
Success Metrics
• Net new trade accounts opened per quarter/year.
• Designer/account retention and repeat-order rate.
• Leads and follow-on business generated from events and market weeks attended.
• Sample checkout → order conversion rate.
• Overall trade sales growth against target.
