Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental clinic team. Duties
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment, ensuring an aseptic technique is followed.
- Take X-rays and perform medical imaging as required, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care, fostering a supportive environment for their dental health.
- Manage patient records using Dentrix and Epic software, ensuring accurate documentation of treatments and patient interactions.
- Operate 3D scanners for imaging purposes as needed, contributing to advanced diagnostic capabilities.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental clinic, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role within a dental clinic setting.
- Registered or Certified Dental Assistant (RDA/CDA) preferred
- Radiology certification (state-specific) required or willing to obtain
- Experience with Dentrix or Epic software is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to demonstrate aseptic techniques consistently while handling instruments and materials.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
- A proactive attitude towards learning new techniques and technologies in dentistry.
