Position Overview:
The Assistant Manager is the first point of contact for members and guests at Cleveland Fitness Club. This role is essential in providing exceptional customer service, managing membership inquiries, and ensuring a welcoming and organized environment. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and a passion for health and fitness.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and assist members and guests as they enter the facility.
Manage front desk operations, including membership sign-ups/sales, renewals, and cancellations.
Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, memberships, and schedules.
Maintain accurate records of memberships, attendance, and other relevant data.
Handle sales transactions of memberships and snack bar.
Promote club programs and events to members and potential clients.
Schedule appointments for club tours/membership sales.
Ensure the front desk area is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
Resolve member complaints and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
Collaborate with other staff members to enhance the overall member experience.
Assist with special events and promotions as needed.
Help keep the facility clean and proper. Rack weights and equipment left out from members.
Oversee cleanliness and maintenance of facility including taking responsibility for whirlpool, sauna, steam room, restroom, showers and locker room maintenance.
All duties of the manager when manager not present.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in fitness or related fields is a plus.
Previous experience in customer service or front desk operations, preferably in a fitness or hospitality environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in basic computer skills and familiarity with membership management software.
A passion for health and fitness is highly desirable.
Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Pay rate $15-18 per hour depending on experience.
