Overview:
We are seeking Sales Executive with relevant Sales experience in international freight forwarding & having a book of business- such as Ocean Import and export fright business.. This role is pivotal in driving growth and expanding our market presence. The ideal candidate will have prior sales experience within Freight Forwarding and logistics , possess strong skills in business development, customer relationship management, and strategic planning.
Qualifications
- 3 years’ experience required in international freight forwarding sales (ocean import/export)
- Proven track record in sales, business development, or account management within the logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain industry.
- Knowledgeable in freight pricing, shipping routes, international logistics
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency in customer relationship management
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and meet sales and revenue goals.
- This position requires travelling to visit customers
Overview:
- Identify and implement effective sales strategies to grow market share.
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with clients to understand their logistics needs and deliver tailored solutions.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities and potential areas for growth.
- Generate new leads through prospecting and networking
- Manage full sales cycle: quoting, negotiations, and closing
- Maintain customer relationships
- Meet/exceed sales targets
What will be done:
- Build and manage relationships with importers, exporters, freight forwarders, NVOCCs, and logistics providers
- Proven track record of having a business book
- Experience with all commodities
Compensation
This position offers a competitive base salary and performance-driven commission structure designed to reward strong revenue growth and client acquisition.
Typical structure includes:
- Base salary: approximately $90,000 – $140,000 depending on experience
- Commission: performance-based earnings tied to gross profit generated from new and expanded accounts
- Upside potential: significant earning potential for high performers who build a strong book of business
Total compensation is designed to be competitive with leading freight forwarding and logistics firms in the Los Angeles market.
