Seeking an Electrical Engineer with a Professional Engineer (PE) license—or the ability to obtain licensure—to join our Alpharetta, GA office. This position involves the design and coordination of electrical systems for commercial, institutional, and industrial projects. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced consulting environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, and low-voltage systems
Perform load calculations, short circuit analysis, and coordination studies
Develop construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
Ensure compliance with applicable codes such as NEC and local regulations
Coordinate with mechanical engineers, architects, and other project disciplines
Conduct site visits, field investigations, and construction support activities
Review shop drawings, submittals, and respond to RFIs
Assist with project management tasks including budgeting and scheduling
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within a defined timeframe
5–10 years of experience in electrical design (consulting engineering preferred)
Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical analysis software (e.g., SKM, ETAP, or similar)
Strong knowledge of NEC, energy codes, and industry standards
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with lighting design and controls systems
Familiarity with backup power systems (generators, UPS)
LEED accreditation or sustainable design experience
Experience with commissioning and construction administration
