Duties

• Assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations, including service, food quality, and cleanliness.
• Supervise and motivate staff to deliver outstanding customer service, ensuring a positive dining experience for every guest.
• Manage shift schedules, coordinate staff assignments, and ensure smooth shift transitions to maximize efficiency.
• Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring adherence to recipes, presentation standards, and safety protocols.
• Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; perform cash handling and reconciliation duties.
• Monitor inventory levels, control food costs, and assist with ordering supplies to reduce waste and optimize resources.
• Train new team members and provide ongoing coaching to develop skills in food handling, safety procedures, and customer service excellence.
• Ensure compliance with health regulations and food safety standards through regular inspections and staff training.
• Support management in analyzing profit and loss reports to identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost savings.

Requirements

• Proven experience in quick service or fast food restaurant management; casual dining or fine dining experience is a plus.
• Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management.
• Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with cash handling is essential.
• Demonstrated supervisory skills with the ability to lead teams effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of food safety management practices and health regulations.
• Excellent communication skills for managerial tasks such as interviewing, training, and team leadership.
• Basic math skills for inventory control, budgeting, and profit analysis.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of hospitality and customer service.
• Previous assistant manager or managerial experience within the hospitality industry is highly desirable.
