Job Title: Youth Development Program Manager (Full Time, Non-Exempt)
Programs: CAPteens, Job Assist, Scholarships, School Based Youth Peer Advocate-CRPA, and Seasonal Giving
Job Summary:
The Youth Development Program Manager, in conjunction with executive management, will develop, coordinate, and supervise CAPteens, Job Assist, School Based Youth Peer Advocates, the Seasonal Giving Programs and related activities that are consistent with the CAPTAIN Community Human Services mission and vision. The Youth Development Program Manager will be the point of contact with the community for teen and youth related programming and services. This position is full-time, Monday- Friday with some evenings and flexible scheduling needed for weekend activities which occur approximately monthly.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Job Assist Program
- Provide job interviewing, resume building skills, job training, job placement services and other support for youth needing to find or maintain employment
- Work with businesses, other non-profits and municipal agencies to promote Job Assist and collaborate on job opportunities
- Maintain familiarity with NYS Child Labor Laws and screen potential employers and employees
- Program Outreach to high schools, libraries, malls, coffee shops, and other public areas
- Provide supervision for Job Assist staff at Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake School District
- CAPteens Program
- Coordinate and oversee all CAPteen activities including meetings, recruitment activities, community service projects, and fundraising projects.
- Coordinate and supervise the CAPteen and Jr. CAPteen services throughout the academic year, including trainings, monthly volunteer shifts, and all volunteer requirements
- Manage recruitment efforts to recruit CAPteens and Jr. CAPteens and oversee the election process of the leadership and board members
- Coordinate the CAPteen annual retreat, monthly meetings, and assist the CAPteens with coordinating and planning RealTalk
- Develop and implement youth leadership development strategies and activities
- Work cooperatively with all CAPTAIN CHS program areas where CAPteens and Jr. CAPteens are volunteering.
- Scholarship Funds
- Connecting with organizations providing activities and families applying for funds to ensure they meet the scholarship requirements
- Work with scholarship funder to approve applicants as needed
- Complete necessary paperwork to ensure payments are processed
- School Based Youth Peer Advocate (CRPA) Program
- Oversee staff’s schedules and performance
- Hire and train new CRPA’s regarding CAPTAIN CHS specific material
- Coordinate program with school district officials and program partners
- Ensure appropriate documentation is developed and tracked for program measures
- Seasonal Giving Programs
- Coordinate the Back-to-School Drive, Adopt a Family, and Toy Shop Programs
- Maintain community relationships with local donors and businesses
- Work with other area non-profits to coordinate the program
- Promote and advertise seasonal programs
- Complete registration and sign-ups for programs
- Work closely with Volunteer Coordinator to schedule volunteers to help with programs.
- Meet with community members, businesses and officials to promote CAPTAIN CHS as needed.
- Ensure all reports are completed and submitted on time.
- Perform other related work as assigned.
Telecommuting and Remote Work:
A few functions of this position can be accomplished while working from home, however, most involve direct contact with the clientele, community partners, supervised employees and volunteers. In addition, this position is a part of a team that provides office coverage for the Clifton Park office, during normal business hours and will need to be in the office for those assignments.

Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s (preferred) or associates degree from an accredited college or university in human services, counseling, education or related field and minimum of 2 years’ experience in human services field.
· Valid NYS Drivers License, with driver record acceptable to agency insurance, and provide evidence of appropriate vehicle insurance coverage.
· Ability to lift minimum of 30 lbs.
