As part of our ongoing growth, we are looking for a Director of R&D & Formulation on a full time contract to join our R&D team.
The Director of R&D & Formulation provides scientific leadership for all formulation activities within the Austin Innovation Center. This individual oversees laboratory operations, manages technical staff, establishes innovation strategy, and ensures successful commercialization of new products.
RESPONSABILITIES
- Lead all formulation activities,
- Manage laboratory operations,
- Supervise Senior and Junior Chemists,
- Establish formulation best practices,
- Review technical project progress,
- Support strategic customer relationships,
- Drive innovation initiatives,
- Develop department KPIs,
- Oversee laboratory budgets,
- Ensure successful technology transfer,
- Collaborate with manufacturing on commercialization,
- Foster continuous learning and scientific excellence,
- Recruit and develop technical talent,
- Support intellectual property development.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry or Cosmetic Science,
- 10 years cosmetic formulation experience,
- 5 years leadership experience,
- US citizens only,
- Proven success leading technical teams,
- Strong client management skills,
- Excellent communication abilities,
- Deep understanding of formulation science and commercialization.
