We are representing a FORTUNE 500 manufacturing organization that is actively seeking an experienced Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to drive rapid resolution of customer issues. In this role, you'll work closely with Service, Engineering, Manufacturing, Sourcing, and Product Management to uncover root causes, reduce warranty costs, and improve product reliability.
**** Position will require less than 15% travel. This is a 4 day week onsite position (Fridays work from home option). ****
What You'll Do
- Lead the Supplier Quality process:
Run meetings, refine procedures, and track actions that resolve customer complaints quickly and effectively. - Analyze customer feedback:
Collect and interpret service and warranty data to identify patterns and emerging concerns. - Investigate problems:
Use structured problem-solving tools to understand customer symptoms, obtain failed units, and perform root-cause analysis. - Collaborate across teams:
Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality, and others to develop solutions and implement fixes. - Measure results:
Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and work with Quality Analytics to build data models for early detection of product issues. - Report to leadership:
Provide regular updates on issues, metrics, and improvement initiatives.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- 7 years in a design/manufacturing environment focused on customer quality, issue resolution, or product improvement.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; Six Sigma Black Belt or ASQ certification preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience with commercial/industrial refrigeration or air-conditioning products is a plus.
- Willingness to travel 30–50%. Position can be remote, with monthly travel to flagship site.
