We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician for a full-time, long-term contract opportunity supporting a high-volume manufacturing facility. This role plays a key part in maintaining equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and ensuring safe, efficient plant operations. This is a stable contract assignment with consistent hours and the potential for long-term engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and components in an industrial environment
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues using schematics, blueprints, and testing equipment
- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on plant machinery and control systems
- Work with PLCs, HMIs, motors, drives, and automated equipment
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards, codes, and regulations (OSHA, NEC, etc.)
- Support equipment upgrades, installations, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Partner with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to reduce downtime and improve performance
- Accurately document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage
Qualifications:
- Valid Journeyman Electrician license
- Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical systems and controls
- Experience working with PLCs (troubleshooting required; programming a plus)
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
- Familiarity with industrial safety practices, including lockout/tagout
- Self-directed with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Salary : $50 - $60
