In joining Capstone Tropical Holdings, Inc., you would be primarily supporting Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Properties Group which is a full-service Real Estate Brokerage specializing in residential, commercial, and property management and Preferred Partners Insurance, LLC which is a full-service Insurance Brokerage specializing in personal and commercial lines. Are you a detail-oriented person who enjoys accounting?
This could be the perfect opportunity for you. You need to be a self-starter who can help with general bookkeeping tasks for our central accounting department. Your tasks will include items such as reconciliations, accounts receivable, administrative reporting, and general accounting. As a bonus, you will get to work directly with our CFO (also a CPA), who is a former professor and will invest in your growth! This is a position for a person who is detail-oriented and understands basic accounting.
Through initial training and ongoing support, this accounting position will be able to support the Company and its accounting department in many ways.
General Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable
Reconciliations
Accounting support
Data Entry
Financial reporting
Journal Entries
General ledger analysis
Administrative tasks
Preferred Education and Experience
· Working knowledge of AMS360 insurance software
· Formal accounting education or
· 5 years of accounting experience with high school diploma or equivalent
Competencies
General Accounting knowledge
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Undisputable ethical conduct and strong work ethic
Collaboration and Communication Skills, verbal and written
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and be flexible with changing needs in a team environment
Strong Computer Skills; Comfortable with Microsoft Office
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
· This is a full-time, in-office position. Business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
