An established and highly regarded project management and cost consultancy is looking to hire a Project Manager into its Chicago office. This is a high-priority hire for a team that is seeing exceptional momentum and has become one of the firm’s standout offices in the US thanks to its growth, performance, and quality of project exposure.
The business is acting on behalf of major developers, owners, and globally recognized end users across complex commercial real estate assignments. The Chicago team is lean, high-performing, and offers the kind of responsibility and access that is often hard to find at this level. This particular hire will support a landmark redevelopment widely regarded as one of the most significant live projects in the city.
The Role - Project Manager
This role will support the day-to-day delivery of a major Chicago project, working closely with a Senior Project Manager and engaging with design teams, construction teams, ownership stakeholders, and client representatives.
Responsibilities will include:
- Supporting project closeout activity and general project coordination
- Managing punch list items and driving follow-up across stakeholders
- Tracking design changes and construction actions to ensure timely resolution
- Coordinating day-to-day tasks, action logs, and delivery priorities
- Assisting with façade and core/shell-related follow-up items
- Attending meetings and helping move outstanding items through to completion
- Supporting client-facing communication and site-based coordination
- Working closely with senior professionals on a major, highly visible project
Minimum Qualifications
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in construction, project management, architecture, or a related field
- Experience supporting design and construction coordination
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple follow-ups and keep project actions moving
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable in a client-facing setting
Preferred Background
- Experience with a general contractor or owner’s representative
- Commercial project experience
- Exposure to larger-scale developments
- Core and shell experience preferred
- Interiors experience also of interest if the project exposure is strong
- Architects looking to transition into the owner’s rep / consultancy side may also be considered
