Assistant Project Manager – Chicago, IL

Salary: $100,000 – $110,000 10–15% Bonus Benefits

Location Requirement: Candidates must already be based in Chicago

A well-established, partnership-led consultancy is looking to hire an Assistant Project Manager to join their Chicago team, supporting delivery on a major $1bn redevelopment project.

The business has built a strong reputation delivering high-end commercial and corporate interior projects for leading clients across tech, finance, and professional services. Their structure promotes progression, with a clear path to senior leadership and long-term growth.

This is a client-facing role offering direct exposure to developers and senior leadership, alongside consistent site involvement.

The Role – Assistant Project Manager

• Support delivery of a large-scale redevelopment project
• Manage project closeout and punch list processes
• Coordinate between design and construction teams
• Assist with project scheduling and progress tracking
• Work closely with developers and client stakeholders
• Attend site regularly (10-minute walk from office; expected most days)
• Report into Senior PM and Associate Director

Minimum Qualifications

• 2–3 years’ experience in construction or project management
• Must currently be based in Chicago
• Background with a General Contractor or Owner’s Representative
• Experience as a Project Engineer or Architect preferred
• Exposure to construction phase and coordination activities
• Strong communication skills with client-facing capability

Nice to Have

• Experience on commercial or interiors projects
• Exposure to closeout or punch list processes
• Familiarity with scheduling and reporting tools
