Commercial Property Maintenance Technician

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role is vital in ensuring the optimal operation and maintenance of our facilities and manufacturing equipment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical, mechanical, and facilities maintenance, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of systems efficiently. Experience with programmable logic controllers, welding, and schematics is highly desirable. Candidates should demonstrate leadership qualities, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work independently or supervise a team when necessary. Duties

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility systems
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic issues using schematics, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools
• Repair or replace faulty components, including wiring, motors, pumps, and conveyors
• Operate and program programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to ensure proper machine functioning
• Conduct welding repairs as needed for equipment or structural components
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
• Assist with residential painting projects or other facility upgrades as required
• Supervise or lead maintenance teams during shift operations or specific projects
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures during all maintenance activities
• Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance

Skills

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems and experience working with schematics and control systems
• Proficiency in welding techniques for repair and fabrication tasks
• Mechanical knowledge related to manufacturing equipment and facilities maintenance
• Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) programming and troubleshooting
• Familiarity with CMMS software for work order management
• Ability to read technical diagrams and schematics accurately
• Competence in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing
• Leadership experience supervising maintenance staff or projects is preferred
• Excellent customer service skills when interacting with internal teams or external vendors
• Effective communication skills in English for documentation and coordination purposes

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
