Duties
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility systems
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic issues using schematics, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools
- Repair or replace faulty components, including wiring, motors, pumps, and conveyors
- Operate and program programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to ensure proper machine functioning
- Conduct welding repairs as needed for equipment or structural components
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
- Assist with residential painting projects or other facility upgrades as required
- Supervise or lead maintenance teams during shift operations or specific projects
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures during all maintenance activities
- Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance
Skills
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and experience working with schematics and control systems
- Proficiency in welding techniques for repair and fabrication tasks
- Mechanical knowledge related to manufacturing equipment and facilities maintenance
- Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) programming and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with CMMS software for work order management
- Ability to read technical diagrams and schematics accurately
- Competence in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing
- Leadership experience supervising maintenance staff or projects is preferred
- Excellent customer service skills when interacting with internal teams or external vendors
- Effective communication skills in English for documentation and coordination purposes
