Join our team at Chapel Walk in Greensboro, NC! We're looking for a friendly, motivated Part-Time Leasing Agent with at least 2 years of customer service experience and a passion for helping people. A background in sales is a plus, and previous apartment leasing experience is preferred but not required—we're willing to train the right candidate. This is a part-time position, and Saturday availability is required.
Work Schedule
- Approximately 28 hours per week
- Three weekdays, 09:00 AM – 05:30 PM (days to be discussed during the hiring process)
- Saturdays: 10:00 AM – 02:00 PM
Position Summary
The Leasing Agent is responsible for managing the full leasing process from initial inquiry through move-in while maintaining exceptional customer service and supporting strong occupancy performance. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of handling multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct property tours, respond to inquiries, and convert qualified leads into executed leases
- Present apartments in a compelling and professional manner; uphold high standards on phone and site shops
- Plan and implement leasing and marketing strategies based on market research
- Track, manage, and accurately report leads, traffic, and advertising efforts
- Process applications, screenings, lease signings, move-ins, and renewals according to company standards
- Maintain accurate records, leasing documentation, daily traffic reports, and rent roll
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing laws and all company policies
- Maintain excellent curb appeal, organized office spaces, market-ready models, and clean community areas
- Coordinate timely make-readies with maintenance and manage inventory control
- Support resident relations, respond promptly to inquiries, and assist with retention efforts
- Ensure rent is received on time; complete daily deposits
- Drive occupancy through consistent leasing efforts and effective marketing
- Work independently while meeting deadlines and property goals
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience
- Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to manage multiple tasks independently
- Goal-oriented mindset with strong follow-through
- Availability to work weekends
- Must pass a background check and drug screening
Preferred Qualifications
- Multifamily apartment leasing industry experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of leasing practices, Fair Housing, and resident lifecycle management
- Strong understanding of leasing techniques, sales strategies, and closing methods
- Proficiency with property management software and general office applications
