Pinto Valley is an open-pit copper mine located at the west end of the historic Globe-Miami mining district of central Arizona, approximately 80 miles east of Phoenix. Pinto Valley has been in operation since 1972 and has produced more than four billion pounds of copper. Acquired by Capstone from BHP in 2013, the mine is fully permitted through 2039 and a study is underway to potentially extend the mine life through 2050.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Mine Maintenance Tire Technician, you will be responsible for the effective day to day execution of tire repairs and inspections on heavy duty mobile equipment, identifying tire related issues, and managing daily tire survey. Additionally, you will mentor less experienced tire technicians and teach tire repair best practices.

- Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and initiative.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Required
- Knowledge of Tire Changing Procedures on Support Equipment.
- Basic knowledge on pneumatics.
- Basic knowledge of tire and wheel assembly.
- Basic knowledge of tire chain assembly and maintenance.
- Basic knowledge of jacking and securing equipment based on tire maintenance.
- Basic knowledge of nitrogen handling and usage.
Preferred
- Experience marshalling light and heavy mobile equipment.
- Ability to lead, mentor and teach less experienced lubrication technicians.
- Experience in the operation of small shop equipment, aerial lifts, forklifts, etc.
- Experience with OEM maintenance manuals.
- SAP Experience
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid Arizona Driver's License.
- Previous experience performing related work in a safety-sensitive environment, such as the construction, farming, delivery or transportation industries.
All candidates will be required to complete a pre-employment medical exam, drug and alcohol test, and background check. All positions require a pre-placement physical examination to ensure candidates are 'fit for duty’. Additional training and/or testing may be required. Capstone maintains a drug and alcohol-free workplace.
