- Strategic Leadership and Operational Excellence:
- Lead the projects operations teams within each BU to ensure successful execution of HVAC, Controls, and plumbing projects within scope, time, and budget.
- Develop and implement operational strategies that align with the company’s growth goals, focusing on organic market expansion.
- Oversee project management processes, ensuring best practices are followed, from go/no-go decision making and initial design through to project completion.
- Collaborate closely with other senior executives to create and execute business plans and ensure alignment across departments.
- Ensure timely and effective Costs-to-complete process is held across every business unit (monthly process)
- Continuous Improvement:
- Implement continuous improvement methodologies, such as Lean or Six Sigma, to optimize operational efficiencies, reduce costs, and increase profitability.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and a metrics-driven approach to ensure the highest quality of work and adherence to timelines.
- Lead a culture of innovation and process optimization, utilizing cutting-edge technology and tools to enhance project delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Enhance the Premistar Way projects workstream delivering consistent CM% improvement
- Integration Synergy:
- Play a key role in pre- and post-acquisition integrations, ensuring that synergies are realized across regions and departments.
- Align operational practices, systems, and processes to maximize integration benefits, creating a seamless transition and driving efficiencies across the business.
- Work cross-functionally with the leadership team to leverage combined capabilities and build a unified approach to market opportunities.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and professional development to the project operations team.
- Working with BU leadership, build a high-performing team, ensuring proper training and career development paths for key project managers, engineers, and other operational staff.
- Foster a collaborative, solution-oriented, and performance-driven culture within the project operations departments.
- Develop and deliver project Management training across the region. (2 session per year)
- Financial Oversight and Reporting:
- Coordinating with the Region President to oversee project budgets, cost management, and resource allocation to ensure financial targets are met.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of project status, financials, and operational metrics to the executive leadership team.
- Contribute to the development of annual and long-term financial plans, with a focus on profitable growth and operational efficiency.
- Participate in LPR’s for projects > $1M
- Strong leadership and team-building skills with a proven ability to inspire and guide high performing teams.
- Excellent organizational and problem solving abilities, with a focus on process improvement and operational efficiency.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across teams and with customers.
- Proficiency with dispatching systems and ERP systems (Microsoft D365 a plus).
- Results driven mindset with the ability to meet deadlines and drive sales and meet renewal targets.
- This role will require 50% to 60% travel to various Business Units.
