Duties
- Develop, update, and maintain GIS databases using ArcGIS, SQL, and relational databases.
- Create detailed maps and visualizations utilizing data visualization tools and CAD software such as AutoCAD and CAD platforms.
- Write scripts in Python, JavaScript, and Scripting languages to automate workflows and enhance data processing efficiency.
- Manage data collection efforts, ensuring accuracy and consistency across various sources including APIs and SharePoint.
- Analyze spatial data for project planning, construction support, and environmental assessments.
- Draft detailed technical reports and documentation of GIS datasets for project stakeholders.
- Collaborate with project managers on GIS-related aspects of construction projects, including data modeling and analysis skills application.
- Lead or assist in project management tasks related to GIS implementation and deployment.
- Support the integration of GIS with other systems through API development and scripting.
Experience
- Proven experience working with ArcGIS, CAD (AutoCAD), and GIS software platforms.
- Strong knowledge of land surveying techniques, GPS technology, and data collection methods.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, JavaScript, Scripting, APIs, and database management including relational databases.
- Experience with data visualization tools, data analysis skills, and data modeling techniques.
- Familiarity with SharePoint for document management and collaboration.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects effectively with leadership qualities when necessary.
- Background in construction or environmental projects is a plus.
