The Skilled Carpenter will be responsible for performing a wide range of carpentry tasks on residential and light commercial projects. This role requires strong technical ability, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform framing, finish carpentry, trim work, and general construction tasks
- Install doors, windows, cabinetry, flooring, and other structural components
- Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and project specifications
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely and efficiently
- Assist with demolition, site cleanup, and project preparation when needed
- Ensure work is completed accurately, efficiently, and according to company standards
- Communicate effectively with project managers, subcontractors, and clients
- Follow all safety policies and maintain a clean, organized work environment
Qualifications
- 3 years of Residential carpentry or construction experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials
- Ability to ready blueprints and project plans
- Reliable transportation to job sites
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work on ladders, scaffolding, and in varying conditions
- Must be punctual, dependable, and detail-oriented
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Bonus/Preferred Experience
- Restoration, remodeling, or insurance repair experience
- Finish carpentry expertise
- Experience in drywall, painting, and flooring skills
Schedule
- Full-time, Monday - Friday (some overtime or weekend work as needed)
