Capstone’s early childhood education and family services are central to its mission, offering center-based and home-based Head Start and Early Head Start programs that support positive child, family, and community outcomes that use a whole-child approach and actively engage parents as partners in their children’s early learning and development.
Qualifications: The required minimum qualifications for the Infant and Toddler Teacher include a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or comparable credential, and training or equivalent coursework in early childhood development with a focus on infant and toddler development

Ø Competitive Pay: $19.13-$22.71 per hour!
Ø 40-hour week -> Monday through Friday!

Preferred Experience Requests
Ø Experience working with infants and toddlers is strongly preferred.
Ø Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with young children and adults.
Ø Working knowledge of community resources, parenting issues, adult learning styles, and sensitivity to the needs of low-income families.
Ø Must be able to evacuate infants and toddlers from the building in a timely, efficient manner.
Ø Must be able to assist toddlers in navigating stairs, playground equipment and changing tables. Must be able to quickly catch up to a fleeing toddler.
Ø Reliable transportation, valid Vermont driver's license and proof of insurance.
Ø Commitment to a flexible work schedule
Ø Commitment to working as part of a local team and acceptance of supervision.
