What are the responsibilities and job description for the Garde Manger position at Capo 29?
WE ARE OPENING JULY 1ST! Hiring ASAP!
CAPO 29 is a new Italian fine dining restaurant in Saint Helena, CA. A totally open kitchen separated from the dining room by a large glass wall. Classic cuisine with a touch of french influence.
Completely new kitchen from the floor to the ceiling. New ovens, stoves, lowboys, walk-in.
WE ARE CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR A GARDE MANGER (pantry)
Garde Manger- Responsible for setting up and breaking down of station. Must follow recipes and work efficiently. Needs to work with the team and be able to follow chef's directions. Must work clean and organized as this is an open kitchen. Must complete prep list and notify chef of any issues. Must be able to communicate properly. Must arrive to work clean, with uniform and knives.
Is responsible for salads, appetizers, hot apps, and must be able to help pastry station when needed.
Needs to be able to work Wednesday through Sunday, dinner service.
Needs to be able to stand for 8 hours plus with occasional heavy lifting of up to 50 lbs.
