STEM Coach Discovery Academy (CREC Magnet Schools)
Location: 176 Cumberland Avenue, Wethersfield, CT
Reports To: Principal Kurt Stanco
Discovery Academy, a PreK5 interdistrict magnet school within CREC, is seeking a skilled and collaborative STEM Coach to lead STEM integration across the school. The STEM Coach supports teachers through coaching, modeling, and professional learning; designs and teaches STEM specials; develops original STEM mini-units; and coordinates schoolwide STEM events and enrichment experiences. The role also includes technology integration support, management of STEM resources, and leadership of outdoor education initiatives such as the rooftop garden, bioswale habitat, and nature trail.
Candidates should have a master's degree in a STEM field or Curriculum & Instruction, at least five years of successful PK5 STEM teaching experience, strong NGSS and technology integration skills, and experience working with diverse school communities. The ideal candidate is an innovative educator who thrives in a hands-on, collaborative environment.
