Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in facilities maintenance and be proficient in various technical skills. This role involves ensuring the proper functioning of equipment and systems, performing repairs, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Duties
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and repair issues related to electrical systems, mechanical components, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Perform welding tasks as needed for repairs or modifications.
- Utilize schematics to diagnose problems and implement effective solutions.
- Oversee facilities maintenance tasks, including residential painting and general upkeep of the premises.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any facility-related concerns promptly.
- Supervise junior maintenance staff, providing guidance and leadership to ensure high-quality work standards.
Skills
- Proficient in electrical experience with a strong understanding of mechanical knowledge.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and the ability to troubleshoot using an ohmmeter.
- Experience in welding techniques and practices.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics effectively.
- Strong background in facilities maintenance with hands-on experience in residential painting.
- Excellent leadership skills with prior supervising experience preferred.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes is a plus.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
