Shifts available:
- PRN - All shifts available
Starting Pay $35-$37/hour
Requirements:
- Credentialed by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) and be a graduate of an approved AMA school of Respiratory Therapy
- Current and active Louisiana Respiratory Therapy license
- Must be knowledgeable of general, rehabilitative and restorative nursing and medical practices, procedures, laws, regulations and guidelines governing long term care
- Must be able to work flexible schedule including 12-hour shifts
- Patient care oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Positive attitude
Duties:
- Provide general respiratory therapeutic services to patients including oxygen, medical gas, and humidification and suction therapies.
- Document patient/resident procedures, organize and analyze data, maintain accurate records.
- Communicate relevant patient/resident information to appropriate physicians and caregivers
- Provide staff education related to respiratory therapy
- Exhibits commitment to results by looking for and recommending/implementing process improvements
- Monitor patient/resident progress and update respiratory care plan as needed
